Fraud @1shankarsharma has spent almost an year in Tihar for money laundering.
He has had multiple cases filed against him by SEBI for market manipulation in penny stocks.
His PMS has been shut down.
Yet he has the cheek to foul mouth fund managers with impeccable integrity.
How does he get time on media channels ?
He pays his way through.
Never trust a man with no integrity
India has cracked the hard engineering of making a chip. It can now be designed, fabricated and packaged on Indian soil - capabilities built in under four years.
But then the harder half is just beginning, and it's got to do with the commerce of chips.
For example
- Vervesemi asked Dholera's own tech partner PSMC for a quote. It came back 20% above the Taiwan/Korea fabs they already use.
- Indian packaging houses quoted 3x foreign prices; one needed 6+ months just to build the tooling.
Founder's verdict:
Indian packaging is off by 3–5x - "not ten or fifteen per cent."
Where Indian semi story is stalling:
- India installs 50 million smart meters a year. Every chip inside is imported.
- Vervesemi has a qualified Indian alternative, already shown to the Power Ministry. No mechanism exists to get it into the meter.
Why? Product companies - the Qualcomm/Broadcom/MediaTek layer that turns a design into a line on a manufacturer's bill of materials - doesn't exist in India yet.
A single fab needs $4–5 billion of volume to break even. We're not sure India is putting that on the table yet.
What the next phase has to fix:
- Preferential foundry pricing until Indian fabs scale
- An L1-tender carve-out so Indian chips aren't auto-disqualified for costing 2x in the early years
- A BIS rule counting active-component content, not just resistors and connectors
- Expected in policy form before July 2026
This @swarajyamag deep-dive by @dikshayadav_ & Ankit Saxena is a slightly LONG read but it kinda gives you the inner picture of where India stands today.

Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) officials seen working late into night on June 4.
Star of Mysore checks the activity at 11.30 pm.
All sections of MDA office were operational, with lights on across corridors.
Seeing cameras, staff members and middlemen left the premises hurriedly.
Some officials moved quickly with files, making notes, and working with urgency.
Vehicles belonging to senior officers were seen parked outside MDA office.
However, designation nameplates in front of vehicles were removed.
They were and kept inside the vehicles, adding to the intrigue.
The next day, June 5, none of the officials came to office even at 10.45 am.
Most chambers were vacant despite strict biometric attendance system.
What work is being carried out at night that cannot be done during the day?
Why is it being done after office hours? That too at midnight?
How are individuals other than officials being allowed into the inner sections of MDA?
What is the purpose of deploying security personnel if middlemen can gain free access?
FY26 GDP: 7.7%. Q4 alone: 7.8%.
Against genuine global headwinds, the Indian economy outperformed every cautious forecast.
That’s true resilience.
But the RBI, just this morning projected 6.6% for FY27. That’s not pessimism. Only a realistic reading of what crude prices, monsoon uncertainty, and West Asia tensions could do to momentum.
So in summary, we’ve earned the right to feel good about last year.
But the danger is in being complacent.
Because the world isn’t getting any less complicated.
Back to work…
Krishna Byre Gowda, Bengaluru development minister, certified deep-water scuba diver, set to steer IT capital's infra push
Krishna Byre Gowda, 53, brings a mix of administrative experience and a reformist image. A five-time MLA, he represents Byatarayanapura in north Bengaluru-one of the city's fastest-growing regions-and is seen as one of the Congress party's more policy-driven leaders.
Beyond politics, he is a certified deep-water scuba diver. Byre Gowda, who worked as a project associate with a rural development organisation in Washington, returned to India in 2003 after the death of his father, C Byre Gowda, a former minister.

Bloomberg used indian prices to value rbi gold. Rbi hasnt changed to Indian prices yet , so they used lbma prices to value their gold and converted to rupees. Gold price in rupee went up 10% in may when the govt increased gold duty.
Since rbi releases the rupee and dollar value of gold every week, Bloomberg used to rupee value and Indian prices to figure out how much gold they have and assumed they've sold. Measure in dollars with Lbma prices, there would have been no sale detected.
Just explaining what's happened.

Honorable @CMofKarnataka, Sri @DKShivakumar Sir,
Congratulations on your oath of office. As the residents of #Mysuru, we are proud that the Son-in-law of Mysuru is the new CM. We humbly urge your administration to prioritize the city’s infrastructure to enable Mysuru’s growth as an economic hub.
The following projects are at a standstill due to multiple administrative bottlenecks & lack of political will.
1. Greater Mysuru City Corporation.
2. Mysuru Airport Runway Expansion.
3. Mysuru - Bengaluru Railway Line Quadrupling.
4. DPR for Peripheral Ring Road.
5. Film City in Immavu.
We request your leadership to immediately intervene and synchronise these efforts to unlock Mysuru’s immense potential and secure its future as a world-class city.

40% of India's edible oil is made here. The other 60% is imported — quietly one of our biggest agricultural import bills.
Cotton gets MSP debates. Wheat gets export bans. Edible oil dependency just sits there. Nobody fights over it.
Vivek Agarwal's father was admitted to MAX Hospital. Seven members of his family were staying at the ill-fated Hotel Flourish Stays, where the fire broke out.
Not a single one of them survived.
Entire family was wiped out because some fire officer allegedly took a bribe to issue a fire clearance, some government babu never checked the building plans, and authorities ignored the illegal restaurant operating in the basement.
Now they will find the owner and put all the blame and act as if they are serious. But they won't allow anyone to talk about the system failure that made this tragedy possible.
Sadly, the news cycle will move on, and so will most people.
@theswapnilsri@svembu Amazing indeed - one minute I am on my Zoho CRM making a quotation and the next in touch with Vembu Ji himself.
Loving the buzz around building in Bharat.
Also... Kidbea ROCKS!!
1/10 India's deadliest aviation disaster - the Air India 171 crash, killed 260 people. But it didn't just take lives, it also took down people's reputations with it - one pilot was labelled suicidal, the other panic-stricken. But evidence shows neither were.
In my in-depth, long form investigation for @Caravan, I use the plane's satellite transmissions, maintenance records and internal correspondence for a decade between Air India and Boeing -- to show it was engine computer FADEC that was guilty and not the pilots.
At around 08:08:44 UTC, the plane's computer FADEC commanded a fuel cutoff and this is the story of how and why it did so.
He had the vision. Hence he isn’t in India anymore
What he is saying is make a stadium for the spectators. No one in power ever thinks about the spectators.
He was and is ahead of the rest
A men named Aakash Kumar opened a fake police station just 500m away from the real DSP’s house in Bihar.
He turned a guest house into a “police station,” became fake DSP & made his wife fake SHO.
They stitched fake uniforms, hired boys as constables for ₹500/day.
Stopped bikes, collected fake challans, took bribes for FIRs & promised Bihar Police jobs.
Over 300 villagers were scammed.
Victims paid ₹10,000–₹90,000 for “government jobs.”
For 8 months nobody noticed.
The scam got exposed when real police spotted the “officers” carrying local country-made pistols instead of official weapons.
Total fraud = ₹50+ lakh.
Indian imports from China:
2020-21: $65.21B
2021-22: $94.57B
2022-23: $98.51B
2023-24: $101.74B
2024-25: $113.46B
The imports are increasing.
But India is not importing finished goods.
It's importing the building blocks of industry.
If these imports were replacing Indian factories,
high-tech manufacturing wouldn't be at a record 46.3% of output.
Instead, the data shows the opposite:
More components are coming in.
More value is being created in India.
If you are not Building in BHARAT, you are missing out. 🇮🇳
20+ Applicants for BEd exam fell in gutter after the sewer outside the exam centre collapsed in UP.
This is infuriating at so many levels.
Modi and Co. have completely destroyed India in the last 12 years. The ruins are now starting to get visible.
About two dozen candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh BEd Joint Entrance Examination fell into a sewage drain after a dilapidated concrete slab collapsed outside an examination centre in Kanpur on Sunday morning, police said.
The incident occurred near HN Mishra PG College, where candidates had gathered at a nearby photocopy shop to obtain copies of documents required before entering the examination centre.
