A young woman died after a grey sedan struck her while she was collecting rice drying beside a road in Buri Ram. Her cousin chased the car by motorcycle, eventually finding it parked at a temple about 10 kilometres away, but the driver was gone.

Locals suspect the car is regularly used by a monk, but it has not been confirmed who was driving during the fatal crash. Police are being urged to investigate.
