@lawyer4SMBs Our accessibility because of technology has tricked people into thinking you must be available 24/7. I wouldn’t hire a company/firm if I knew this is how they treated employees. Have coverage for an emergency and go enjoy your time off.
@msupeach I deadlift and square with my socks on at the gym is that acceptable? I’ve done it either lifting shoes and tons of others but I like it best in socks
@SAOliver_Atty If you’re solo I can understand it more. If you have a team and the team cannot function when you’re OOO then you’ve failed as a leader imo. When I’m OOO there are multiple people covering my deals and I let OC know I’ll be out too. It’s never once been an issue.
@bavedikian People frequently use “highly successful” without defining what success means. Is it $, a fulfilling family life, or career? Success is subjective. To me, true success is having the freedom to control how you spend your time, because time is the one resource you can never replace
@bavedikian This culturally based. I know highly successful people if you measure by $ and they block family time off. I regularly deal with companies in the EU and come August I won’t hear from some folks for weeks. Everyone is made aware in advance and our deals still get done.
@HealthcareREguy@NBA@NBA used to fine players and they need to bring that back as well. This isn’t entertainment and its getting to be worse than soccer
@TrailerParkGuy In my experience 99% of attorneys I deal with are not deal killers. I’ve come across maybe 5 attorneys that I thought were killing a deal. However not even on those deals died. The few deals I’ve had die were the biz folks killing them for reasons 3,4 & 5
@SteelToeScribe@ordonez_adan I respect FL for the protectionist stance since they have a ton already there and ppl would semi retire and move there to work a little (I’d do that). I did get licensed there in case I ever moved back home and I’m also the only attorney licensed in FL at my company which is neat
@AvivaRealEstate CHATGPT/AI will replace lawyers for most disliked category and reason a deal has been derailed in the near future (wishful thinking). In all seriousness some tenants can’t explain their changes and refuse to have a conversation on them making it difficult to get a deal signed.
