STATEMENT FROM RECON - 'THE PICTURE'
We aren’t going to jump on the bandwagon and re-post ‘the picture’ that should have NEVER been taken. We simply don’t want that kind of content to ever exist on any of our social media feeds.
Over the past weeks, we’ve seen a few similar incidences like this come to light. In an effort to remind people just why this kind of behaviour and producing these kinds of images is completely unacceptable, we did a re-post of an article around recognising fascist symbols in fetish by @DogBoiBailey.
It's beyond disappointing to see that these kinds of posts are happening with such frequency and we, as a community, need to remain vigilant and call these folks out, when we see it.
We at Recon stand one hundred percent with the community and agree that glorification of something so heinous has no place in the safe and inclusive environment that we are all striving to create.
For whatever misguided reasons people may choose to wear this gear, there is absolutely NO apology which will ever be enough to excuse such a decision - especially when you are so visibly prominent in the community.
We have a moral, as well as a social responsibility to the community, and to ourselves, and will never support, promote or tolerate the behaviour of any member that would ever think this would be acceptable, and think that they would get away with it.
It's NOT going to happen on our watch.

Anyone else having an issue with the @reconnews app on Android? App isn’t resizing properly in the past week. Message section is down where the navigation buttons are. Very strange.
Thinking of booking Hotel Riu Plaza in Berlin for a weekend next year. Any thoughts? Good, bad or indifferent...? Seems close to all the main venues. #Berlin
