After receiving several complaints from residents regarding reckless driving, including speeding and failure to stop at stop signs, Flex Shift officers have performed multiple extra patrols in the Tucker Trice and Torrey Pines neighborhoods.
These enforcement efforts are intended to educate motorists and encourage safer driving habits. Officers are reminding drivers to slow down and remain attentive behind the wheel, particularly as pedestrian traffic has increased with school being out for the summer.

Earlier this week, officers responded to I-40 after our Communications Center received several reports of a white Ford Explorer being driven recklessly.
D-Shift officers quickly located the vehicle near mile marker 238 on I-40. While observing the vehicle, officers noted several traffic violations, including the driver not wearing a seat belt and failing to maintain his lane on multiple occasions.
Following a traffic stop, officers discovered the Nashville man behind the wheel had been wanted out of Rutherford County since December 2025 on multiple felony warrants related to theft, forgery, and identity theft.
Officers also learned that he was driving on a suspended license.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The Lebanon Police Department continues a multi-agency investigation focused on dismantling a vehicle theft ring.
With support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Criminal Investigations Division, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, our Special Operations Division executed search warrants at four residences in the Lebanon/Wilson County area, as well as a residence in the 9400 block of Clarksville Highway in the Whites Creek community of Davidson County.
During today’s operation, officers recovered multiple stolen vehicles, including two GMC Sierras reported stolen out of Texas and Ohio, along with a stolen Polaris Slingshot. Investigators also uncovered evidence related to the alteration and falsification of vehicle identification numbers (VINs).
Today’s operation stemmed directly from efforts during a previous multi-agency search warrant operation conducted on April 23, led by the Lebanon Police Department, as part of this ongoing vehicle theft investigation.
The investigation originally began on April 16 after officers located stolen vehicles with altered VINs while executing multiple search warrants related to the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.
This remains an active and complex investigation, with charges pending. Additional details cannot be released at this time.
We are extremely proud of the dedication and commitment our officers have shown throughout this investigation, and we are grateful for the continued partnership of the assisting agencies that share our commitment to protecting and serving the community.
Last week, our Special Operations Division executed four search warrants at three locations in Lebanon and one in Hermitage as part of an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.
With assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, officers recovered more than a quarter pound of cocaine and crack cocaine.
Officers also seized cash, firearms, and eight vehicles.
At this time, charges are pending.
We are very grateful for the hard work of our officers and the coordinated efforts with our partner agencies in helping keep our community safe.
