Understanding that the NYC Marathon started in 1970 which would mean that this year's 2019 run would actually be the 50th NYC Marathon (However) A hurricane called Sandy during the first part of November 2012 caused the cancellation of the Sunday Marathon.

#50 will be 11/1/2020

For the record. I am now age 75 and still running. I am in my 61st year of running. I enjoy it more than ever. I am looking forward to the 49th year of the NYC Marathon on Sunday November 3rd.

I also want to announce I am on speaking and book signing engagements. I just finished a high desert book signing in California on Saturday October 12, 2019 and a book signing at the Barnes & Noble at the Victorville Mall in Victorville California.

Also to my followers I want to announce that my book "Forever at the Finish Line", published by Skyhorse Publishers was picked up by Simon & Schuster this year.

Very excited about it. Also my book is currently being looked at by several producers to create a new movie.

On Saturday November 3, 2019 will mark the 25th anniversary of the unveiling of the Fred Lebow statue at the finish line of the New York City Marathon. I plan to be there at the conclusion of the NYRRC Dash to the Finish run at around 9 am.
