What goes into an average shift driving a lorry?
Thought I would live tweet about my shift tonight. Might be interesting, or not, either way I have few remaining opportunities to show you into a world you may not otherwise ever see.
Feel free to share if you wish 🚛
@guardiannews I mostly browse the web on an iPad. Are you aware your web site doesn’t work on iPads? Don’t think it’s my end because every other site except yours works fine. Would like to support The Guardian but won’t be doing so while I’m denied access.
@NHSuk No it doesn’t. It might if I could get it to work, but I’ve just wasted my whole evening trying to create an NHS login. App deleted. I guess I’ll have to order a paper certificate for my vaccination status.
Matt Hancock tells the Commons: “The number of vaccinations happening in Bolton right now is phenomenal - tens of thousands every single day”. Which sounded a lot for a population of less than 300,000 people and, well, here’s the official data for Bolton....
⚠️Better not share this Johnson clip with Eddie Mair too widely - might remind people what a “nasty piece of work” @BorisJohnson really is … is that complicity in beating someone up, I can hear???
🤔BETTER NOT RT THIS ONE😉

Hearing from multiple friends in France that FR, B and NL are closing all sea and land (train) borders with UK. Nothing in mainstream media. Anyone heard anything?
In 2016 UK Gov ran a pandemic flu exercise codenamed 'Exercise Cygnus.'
It exposed severe failings, including “inadequate ventilation.”
Despite this, government planning for a future pandemic did not change and report was buried.
