35 years ago today, Prince released his 10th studio album Lovesexy. The CD version was released as one continuous, 45-minute, 7-second track. “Lovesexy was a mind trip, like a psychedelic movie,” Prince told @RollingStone in 1990.

Reflecting on the album’s provocative cover, Prince said, “All that album cover was, was a picture. If you looked at that picture and some ill come out of your mouth, then that's what you are — it's looking right back at you in the mirror.”
