Volunteers will be provided with free training and resources on food waste reduction, composting and recycling in particular, but will also be made aware of other sustainable waste methods, such as Repair Cafes and real nappies.

The new campaign is looking to recruit volunteers from Ledbury and its surrounding area with a passion for reducing food waste, a love of composting and a determination to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible to share their skills and knowledge with others.

Now that the way forward is becoming clearer we are restarting the Repair Café Ledbury meetings on Sat 5th June in The Burgage Hall. For this first meeting we will operate as we did in the autumn of 2020 with advance bookings only.

We are still not accepting textile repairs until the situation regarding potential risks of infection from these items becomes clearer – hopefully later in the summer.

We still have some items booked for the earlier cancelled meeting and these have been carried forward and we will try and contact these people in the next few days to see if the bookings are still required.

The Repair Café will run every month, usually the first Saturday, at The Burgage Hall from 10 am - 1 pm. Local residents can bring their broken items for fixing on the spot with help from our volunteer repairers.
