In the quiet moments I wonder how the people who encouraged and enabled the #LetItRip policies feel about #COVID19 currently being the number 1 CAUSE OF DEATH in Australia.
A massive public health disaster #auspol 🦠
Just sharing in case people don't know. In NSW schools we have the following as mandatory training (on annual/biannual reaccreditation in most cases)
1. Anaphylaxis (online)
2. Child Protection (initial on employment and annual)
3. Code of conduct
4. Corruption prevention

Upon reflection of my unit of work for a school with many cultures, cultural diversity with global aspects, community connections and integrating KLAs through curriculum design with PBL, implementing 21st century learning with 3Cs have been a priority (Drake & Reid,2018). #UoNTeach
Reflecting as an educator using Twitter, I have discovered valuable resources and made meaningful connections with other like-minded professionals across the world which has helped me establish my school project unit on cultural diversity (Carpenter & Morrison, 2018). #UoNTeach
Developing students' #21stCenturySkills can be achieved through using a combination of Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences to design learning experiences that are inclusive and differentiated to suit varying learning capabilities (Noble, 2004). #UoNTeach
#21stCenturySkills like critical thinking and problem solving can be taught in the curriculum through De Bonos Six Thinking Hats Framework. Through this teaching method, students take on a different mindset to realise the multiple ways to problem solve (Kivunj, 2015). #UoNTeach
As an educator in the 21st century, I am passionate about incorporating project-based and inquiry-based models of learning to engage students and enhance their #21stCenturySkills (Lamb,Maire & Doecke,2017; NSW Department of Education, 2020). Share your thoughts. #UoNTeach
Project based learning is a pedagogy I would love to incorporate into my classroom to engage students in fun and meaningful tasks while connecting with the community to improve learning outcomes (Zyngier, 2017). #21CTeaching#PBL#CommunityEngagement#UoNTeach
Students explored how we can design something that will strengthen the community. It turned into a two day community construction project led by our kids! #purposefulplay#PBL
