@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio I think AI will play a massive part for a while but eventually, the love for the physical analogue space will make a comeback, completely changing the sound again. Then the cycle repeats

@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio Part of the fun in sound engineering in general is the experimentation. Working to get the best sound from your own perspective. If everyone used smart, everyone would eventually sound the same 😅 but for a brand or station, I understand why you would want complete consistency💯

@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio I think that although what you described is good, it makes us lazy 😂 I don’t think anyone should use smart processing until they know what needs doing and how to fix it themselves. Smart should be a replacement for time, not knowledge & experience

@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio Just 1 vocal preamp channel strip for each mic. Low cut. Fairly fast compression so that it gets to work quickly on any vocal signal. A sweet spot eq boost for presence 🔥

@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio Capturing the sound source properly makes the processing stages a lot easier. Its hard to make unintentionally distorted sources sound good

@marvotron @soundwarrior20 @PyroRadio Plus a lot of experimentation, a lot of prep work in the early stages etc - we had many artists & DJs do test runs so we could estimate and average out the levels.
As Pyro, I know we can make it sound even better but thats gonna happen gradually 🔥
