@natcassidy Well, I don’t know about “master.” I’ve heard the term “insufferable fussbudget” bandied about here and there.
Can’t wait to read it, dude!!
@wnwagner Well done you! The 50-60k mark is such a Herculean effort. Every word after that feels different somehow. I look at them and want to say, “you post 60k words weren’t there at the beginning, with all the anxiety and self-doubt and deleting and rewriting. You’re so lucky.”
🩸NEW BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT🩸
I’m so thrilled that my next novel found the perfect haunted home at @Sourcebooks Poisoned Pen Press! ✒️🖤 I had way too much fun writing this twisty bloody mystery & can’t wait for you to meet my newest slasher in Fall 2025! 🔪🧘🏻♀️
My novella, COUP DE GRÂCE, is officially out today! 🚇
I’m so emotional 🥹 Thank you all so much for supporting this.
It’s about a man trapped in a labyrinthian subway station, and depression, and choice, and liminality, and if you see yourself in any of that, this is for you.
Arresting, bleak, but most importantly honest, @SofiaAjram’s debut novella, Coup de Grâce, is a gorgeous work of devastation. This is the kind of art that demands emotion and humanity, the kind that is so very important. My review:

We are thrilled to announce Bethany C. Morrow’s subversive supernatural horror THE BODY, a pulse-pounding novel that tackles the trauma of Churchianity and explores how sometimes people don’t break free, they just break.
🔥Coming 2026🔥

Hi! My name is Clay. I wrote a novella called KILL YOUR DARLING and it comes out today from Bad Hand Books. It’s intense. True crime grief horror. Think TAKEN meets ADAPTATION. That sounds like fun, right? Order here: https://t.co/lcaFMFHrSB
Writers from @StephenKing to @SGJ72 have talked about how music plays a tremendous role in their writing process. There is a synchronicity between horror and music that I think is unmatched in any genre.
So, I wanted to dedicate this Friday to #horror that rocks. Horror with music or bands at the central focus of the story. I am including I WAS A TEENAGE SLASHER, even though its not about a band or music. When you read the story you can feel it infused with rock from the 80’s, from Lita Ford to Skid Row, giving the story a texture that feels like the 1980s and thus deserves a special place on this list.
