OPINION: Bastos. Sorry. There is no English word that captures the import of impoliteness, condescending attitude, insolence, contemptuousness and outright disrespect conveyed by bastos. https://t.co/pLU71ppKhK
Seeing former Supreme Court Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban don his robe to address the Senator-judges of this impeachment court is a good lesson in visual communication.
The old gods of Padre Faura have descended.
In his legal memorandum, former Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. clarified who “must be excluded” from the phrase “all the Members of the Senate.”
Davide served as the impeachment court's amicus curiae to discuss the conviction threshold. #VPOnTrial
"What do our people expect from you? It's not legalism, it's not judicial conduct. It is justice for our people ...

MAHIYA NAMAN KAYO | Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr. responded to a note from the Chinese side during the Seoul Defense Dialogue (SDD) 2026 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

You need to watch this incredible video to understand just how tired China's neighbors are of its aggressive coercion.
In the middle of a talk at the Seoul Defense Dialogue, China drops a note scolding and attempting to intimidate the Filipino National Defense Secretary over the South China Sea issue.
Instead of acquiescing like Beijing wanted, the secretary read the note out loud, ridiculing and debunking it as he went before saying, "perhaps, basic decency and behavior is what China needs to do."
My summary doesn't do the clip justice — it's an absolute evisceration.
