When revisionists recount why GEJ lost in 2015 and claim it was simply because he was a “gentleman,” that narrative is untrue and a clear distortion of facts.
By the build-up to 2015, GEJ had already lost substantial support within his party. There were massive defections, alongside a deep sense of betrayal among stakeholders who believed he reneged on an understanding to serve only one term.
The poor turnout at PDP campaign rallies was a clear indication that all was not well within the party.
This was further compounded by the fact that he was running against Buhari, who had successfully forged a formidable alliance with the ACN, led by Tinubu. It was fire for fire on all fronts.
Therefore, any attempt to compare that situation with Tinubu seeking a second term is misplaced. The circumstances are entirely different. Today, people are moving into the BAT political structure; more governors are joining the APC, and as we speak, there is no N -APC. 🤷🏻♂️
Lastly, the expectation that power will return to the North in 2031 serves as a strong incentive for many northern presidential hopefuls. Tinubu may not need to lift a finger, Walahi, they will do everything necessary to ensure his re-election while positioning themselves to wait their turn.
In short, these are totally different circumstances.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda: “I know someone from my village whom Ahmadu Bello Sardauna took abroad to study and then brought back and placed in the police to become the first officer with a degree. Sardauna knew he was a Christian. I don’t know why people focus on the politics of religion in the north in this era. For me, if you want to become a leader in the North, you have to follow in the footsteps of what our leader, our father, Sardauna, did in the North.”
Electoral Act: Does Oby Ezekwesili Want To Make It Easy For Peter Obi To Rig The 2027 Elections?
For many Nigerians, it came as a surprise to hear Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, a vocal promoter of the Presidential ambition of Peter Obi, appoint herself as their spokesperson and claim that Nigerians demand real-time transmission and upload of election results during her appearance today on Arise TV. Who told Mrs Ezekwesili that? Has she taken a survey of Nigerians? From where did she draw her conclusions?
Like me, Oby Ezekwesili has lived in America, the most advanced country on Earth. Even in the United States, there is no real-time transmission of election results by the Federal Election Commission. Please fact-check me.
In the United Kingdom, where both Oby Ezekwesili and I have also spent time, there is no real-time transmission of election results by the UK Electoral Commission. Again, please fact-check me.
Placing impossible standards that cannot be met by even the most technologically advanced nations on Earth on the Independent National Electoral Commission is not patriotic. It is delusional.
We remember how this same Oby Ezekwesili almost set Nigeria on fire by promoting the lie that a Yoruba Muslim Registrar General of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board wanted to cheat an underage Igbo Christian girl. That action nearly caused ethnoreligious strife in the country, but for quick action on the part of our security forces.
And then it was discovered that not only was Mmesoma Ejikeme not underage, but at 19, she was a full-blown adult, but she also forged her results sent to her electronically by JAMB and deceived millions of Nigerians.
Now, Nigerians should ask themselves this question. If a nineteen-year-old secondary school student can scam JAMB by falsifying her electronically transmitted result, imagine how much easier it would be for a dishonest and desperate politician, like Peter Obi, to manipulate electronically transmitted results.
We are, after all, talking of the same Peter Obi under whom exam miracle centres thrived whilst he was Anambra Governor. A man who was detained at Heathrow airport, London, over dodgy issues with his electronic fingerprints and identity.
The Senate of the National Assembly took the right decision in the Electoral Act amendment, and I commend Senate President Godswill Akpabio and all Senators who voted to pass the amendment.
At the end of the day, sound judgement and rational thinking must overcome emotional outbursts and sentimental posturing of the likes of Oby Ezekwesili and others, who want to set Nigeria on fire by making demands that no country on Earth can meet, in their bid to cause chaos ahead of the 2027 election.
May God bless the Senate of the National Assembly, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

BREAKING: The federal government through the National Salaries, Wages, and Income Commission has approved the increase of nurses' uniform allowance from N20,000 to N80,000 per annum.
In July 2025, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives described the N20,000 annual uniform allowance for its members as grossly insufficient, requesting systemic reforms, including the establishment of a Directorate of Nursing Services at the Federal Ministry of Health to be headed by a registered nurse.
"Dollar is crashing in world market"
"Tinubu's policies aren't working"
"World Bank is lying"
"PBAT is cooking stats"
First of all, where are our local Argentine economAists, @PeterObi & @atiku?... PBAT deserves explanatory apologies from the fake leaders before dragging their mumu followers like tiger genenerator.
Repost if you agree😀
Naira Gains Ground: Strengthens Against Euro, Settles at N1,606/€1
And where are those who claimed the naira's strength had nothing to do with reforms?
Look at how f00lish that sounds now.
Peter Obi: No snake anti-venom anywhere in Nigeria.
Reality: Nigeria imports around $12M worth yearly. Ministry stocks hundreds of vials. FCTA says it's available in ALL Abuja public hospitals.
Please how many snakebite deaths spiked in Anambra under this lousy wailer when he was cluelessly leading the state?
If he was this empty after 8 years as governor, how did Anambra even survive his disaster?
The Nigeria Police Force INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja has successfully repatriated the sum of $23,000 recovered from an international romance scammer to the victim in The Cayman Islands...
President Bola Tinubu has assented to two new bills. He assented to the export prohibition repeal and re-enactment bill 2025,”
“He has also assented to the African Union Convention for the Prohibition and Assistance of Internally Displaced Persons’ Domestication and Enforcement Bill 2020–2025.”
The export prohibition repeal and re-enactment bill seeks to repeal the Export (Prohibition) Act, which restricts the export of staple products including maize, rice, yam tubers, beans, cassava tubers, and timber.
The original law, enacted in 1989, was designed to prioritise local consumption of staple foods and safeguard domestic food security.
Nigerians, beware of people like this who use suit and tie to deceive you in the name of being abroad.
For you to benefit from Canada's unemployment insurance, you must have contributed to it and must have lost your job or being on paternity/maternity leave and you're entitled to only 55% of it.
It's not free o, it's the money you contributes for years.
Daddy E.A Adeboye was a reader of Applied Mathematics, with a strong focus on Numerical Analysis before becoming a pastor. Numerical Analysis is the AI of the 70s & 80s without computers. If he had continued a prof of Numerical Analysis, his contributions would have been foundational to AI logic. Machine leaning runs on Numerical Analysis with the following ribs:
▪︎ Matrix algebra
▪︎ Optimization
▪︎ Iterative algorithms
▪︎ Error minimization
▪︎ Convergence and stability
Numerical optimization is a major branch of applied mathematics. Without good optimization math. AI models don’t learn, or would learn slowly, inaccurately, or unstably. If he succeeded with a patent in how fast algorithms converge and stabilize, he may or may not have become one of the richest Nigerian but wouldn't have been poor.
It is sordid to see that many think we don't have billionaire professors because they don't do "money na water" on IG. At least I know two. One is late, a professor of systems engineering in Unilag, and one is a notable fellow of IEEEE with patents in mixed-signal circuit design and sensor interfaces.
I know Tinubu will remove the electricity subsidy too at some point and I’m already solidly behind him. Some of these things, there are no nicer ways to do it, just remove it and allow the economy readjust
“The report is not only false and misleading but a deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the IGP and undermine the integrity of the Nigeria Police Force,” said Danjuma Lamido, IYA’s spokesperson. He accused the outlet of relying on unnamed, shadowy sources to peddle what he termed “a work of fiction.” https://t.co/KgOuOGrhE3
