Christian, mother of 6, grandmother of 9 (so far). My child survived transgenderism. I’m always ready to talk to those who are struggling. God is faithful.
Good morning to everyone except the professing Christians who hate Donald Trump so much that they’re now pretending that Bad Bunny and his immoral songs are fun and harmless.
To them I say, go get your heart right.
Covering the Waterfront
"I remember when I was a child, my father delivered three rules to me. Not only that, I remember where I was standing in the front yard when he delivered them to me, and I remember the fond and affectionate demeanor with which he delivered it (he had his fist in front of my face). His three principles were 1) no disobedience, 2) no lying, and 3) no disrespecting your mother. Now, what is not covered by that?” (Why Children Matter, p. 38).
I got people mad at me when I posted the lyrics of Taylor Swift's latest album. One convicted mom contacted me and thanked me. She had thought what her daughters were listening to was actually innocent.
Always check the lyrics, folks. Even if they're in another language.
Real Christian Artists suffer through the first half of the Super Bowl so we can catch the most beautiful 30 minutes of the year—when the heavens open and a host of bisexual Puerto Ricans descend to give us a message.
“We are ready,” we say, tears already in our eyes.
Modern dating goes a lot like this: the moment you’re old enough to notice the opposite sex, you’re expected to “date around,” “see what’s out there,” “have fun.”
And yes this all sounds harmless enough until you realize what it really means: you’re practicing how to start and end relationships on repeat.
By the time you’re actually ready for marriage, the only muscle you’ve trained is the one that only knows to walk away, not the one that works on staying.
No one tells you that.
No one tells you that habits in love work the same way habits in anything else do, you get good at what you practice.
And most modern dating is practice in the art and way of leaving.
I’ve never seen myself, or other black people, as monkeys. So I’m not offended by the image.
What offends me is the selective outrage.
The same voices who defend the killing of black babies in the womb suddenly find moral clarity over a character in a video.
I owe my Christian worldview largely to Voddie Baucham. He taught me to think biblically before I ever got serious about Bible College or Seminary. He was definitely in the top 10 of living preachers. I will miss him greatly. He’s irreplaceable. Please pray for his family.
My conversation with @VoddieBaucham is now available. In it we discuss Charlie Kirk, Culture, Patriarchy, Brazilian Jii-jitsu, and more.
