the boobtech is a f (pricing transparency). Free makets and competition.

PS is one of the few specialties that started disclosing pricing in the late 90’s. I was on that bandwagon.

This transparency kept pricing stable and in many cases, like BBL , prices dropped 75%.

The exception has been faces.

1) ask for a copy of the hcfa claim forms (ub-04 and cms-1500) which have all the CPT codes by line item

2) ask llm’s what the Medicare ‘allowable’ is for each CPT

3) ask llm’s if medicare bundles any of the cpt codes . subtract out the portion that is bundled.

4) add it up. that is a reasonable number for comparison. start there.

Note: private carriers most always ‘allow’ higher charge than Medicare. That is why Medicare allowable can be used as a base.

the issue in *IVF* is that the blastocyst ( sperm + egg) is disrupted at day 3 ( in culture) when the development switches from the mother dna to the father dna. this is because of male dna fragmentation (because cannabis)

higher fragmentation in male dna either truncates the development of the embryo (around day 3) in the culture dish or causes miscarriage after implantation. she says 9/10 times the male was using cannabis.
