Every day brings a new concept. A new weapon.
Why can't they change their mindset?
With new concepts and ideas, why can't they move forward with mutual separation?

PRESS RELEASE
OVER 550 CASES OF HUSBAND MURDERS AND SUICIDES DOCUMENTED IN JUST OVER SIX MONTHS OF 2026; ADULTERY EMERGES AS THE LEADING CAUSE OF HUSBAND MURDERS, UTTAR PRADESH TOPS IN SUCH CRIMES : REPORT BY EKAM NYAAY FOUNDATION
17 July 2026 | Gurugram
Gurugram-based NGO Ekam Nyaay Foundation has released its latest documentation report on husband murders and suicides across India. The report, based on incidents reported in the media and documented by the Foundation till 14 July 2026, highlights an alarming trend of violence against men within intimate relationships and calls for greater recognition of male victims in public policy and criminal justice discourse.
The Foundation has documented a total of 554 cases during this period, comprising 322 murders of husbands by their wife or her lover and 232 suicides by husbands arising out of marital disputes, domestic abuse, harassment, false criminal cases, and other relationship-related issues.
The findings indicate that, based on documented media reports alone, nearly two husbands were murdered and more than one husband died by suicide every day in India during the first 6 months of 2026. The Foundation emphasises that these figures represent only cases reported in the media and documented through its research. Since many such incidents never receive media attention and there is no official national database tracking husband murders or male victims of domestic abuse, the actual number of such cases is likely to be substantially higher.
The report reveals that adultery emerged as the leading cause behind husband murders, accounting for 194 out of 322 cases (approximately 60.2%). In many of these incidents, wives allegedly conspired with their lovers to murder their husbands after the latter objected to the extramarital relationship or became an obstacle to it. The documented cases include brutal methods such as poisoning, burning alive, electrocution, strangulation, dismemberment, burial of bodies, and staging murders as accidents or suicides.
Apart from adultery, 88 murders (27.3%) were linked to domestic disputes, while other documented motives included monetary disputes, family conspiracies, and killings involving the partner's family or lover.
The report also documents 232 suicides by husbands, where the leading cause was prolonged domestic disputes, accounting for 104 cases (44.83%). Another 57 cases (24.57%) involved allegations of harassment by wives or in-laws, while 29 cases (12.5%) were linked to extramarital relationships. The remaining cases involved false criminal accusations, harassment by girlfriends or their families and other factors.
According to the report, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of documented husband murders (93) as well as husband suicides (103) during the reporting period, followed by states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Maharashtra, Haryana, Bihar, Karnataka, and Gujarat.
The Foundation has also highlighted 25 of the most gruesome cases documented this year, including incidents where husbands were allegedly beheaded, chopped into pieces, poisoned, buried beneath house floors, burned alive, pushed into deep gorges, or murdered in conspiracies involving wives and their alleged lovers. Several suicide cases involved victims leaving behind detailed suicide notes or recorded videos alleging prolonged harassment, domestic abuse, false criminal cases, denial of access to their children, or sustained mental cruelty.
Speaking on the report, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, Founder of Ekam Nyaay Foundation, said:
"Every documented case represents a life lost and a family devastated. The tragic murder of Ketan Aggarwal allegedly by his fiancee Siya Goyal & her lover Chetan caught the attention of the nation but we come across several such cases on a daily basis where husbands or partners are being murdered by women in the most well planned, heartless and brutal manner.

A child is the ultimate living legacy of two people. Long after court battles end and physical walls separate a family, a simple look in the mirror tells the true story.
"I have my mother's mouth
And my father's eyes.
On my face, they are still together."

▪️Hanumant Patil, an IT engineer from Bodka village in Ahmedpur taluka of Maharashtra's Latur district, died by suicide in London after suffering mental distress linked to a prolonged family dispute and a ₹2 crore legal claim filed by his wife. The couple had been married for around eight years, had no children, and had been living separately for nearly a year following frequent arguments.
▪️Patil was working as an IT engineer in London and earned around ₹8 lakhs a month before the incident. The ongoing marital conflict and legal proceedings left him under severe mental stress.
▪️Before taking the extreme step, Hanumant made an emotional final phone call to his family, telling them, "I will not live anymore. Don't wait for me. Please take care of everyone." His relatives tried to persuade him not to act, but being thousands of kilometres away, they could not reach him in time.
▪️Hanumant was later found hanging at his residence in London, leaving his family and residents of Bodka village in shock and mourning. The incident has drawn attention because of the impact of the prolonged family dispute and legal claim preceding his death.

More than 34 years ago, India created the National Commission for Women to safeguard and promote women's rights.
Today, it's time to ask a simple question:
Shouldn't Indian men also have an independent statutory body to address their grievances, ensure fairness, and recommend policy reforms?
Does India need a National Commission for Men?
#NationalCommissionForMen #MensRights #GenderEquality #EqualRights #JusticeForMen #PolicyReform #India
Finally, someone in Parliament said what society has ignored for years — men too can be victims.
Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Kumar Mittal introduced the National Commission for Men Bill, 2025, citing the Ketan Agarwal case and the urgent need for institutional support, legal protection and justice mechanisms for male victims.
This is not about being anti-women.
This is about being pro-justice.
When men are trapped, abused, threatened, framed or destroyed, they deserve more than silence. They deserve a platform, protection and due process.
Good work, Sir. India needs a National Commission for Men.
