This is very much a low-budget indie endeavor, evidenced by the spotty quality of the acting, the audio, and the awkward musical montage segments. Still, I had more fun watching it than I’d expected to.

Corruptor (2017)

* This film was released in the US in October of 2017.

* This film was directed by Dorothy Booraem, also known for Wake the Witch (2010) and Blood Rites (2012). It was written by Booraem and Chad Haufschild, with a story by Dustin Ferguson.

Megan Garcia was easily my favorite actor in the film, with a range to her performance that allowed for a character depth that the others could not achieve. She’s got a Kirsten Dunst-esque vibe about her that works in the role, plus I found myself taken with her tattoos. 😍

@WisdomSatanic They completely (and likely intentionally) overlook the numerous aspects of the religion pertaining to self-preservation, responsibility, intellect, accomplishment, and personal elevation that make the alien elite elite in the first place.

@WisdomSatanic That is a point that all too often falls on deaf ears and blind eyes. Those who only skim or half-ass their way through The Satanic Bible are often quick to erroneously conclude that Satanism sees life as some sort of reckless Caligula-style house party.

No, this film won’t be taking the place of any classic slashers with well-defined antagonists, but it was an entertaining film albeit an overblown one with a silly final act. I didn’t expect it to try and go psychological and it didn’t entirely work, but I appreciate the attempt.
