Additionally, timing and chance plays a role in all economic distribution. The difference in capitalism is that choice gets a bigger influence for everyone in every place. For example you can grow up in the slums and ascend to become a multi-millionaire if you prioritize wealth accumulation. In other economic systems it's almost impossible to accumulate well unless you have connections or are born into a higher cast in society.

All the things you described are results of human choice. Only in capitalism can you be free to prosper. Not everyone will prosper because not everyone will prioritize wealth accumulation. Furthermore happiness is not directly tied to wealth accumulation. Some people don't want the added stress that comes along with additional economic responsibility.

And in America we barely have a homeless problem. We have a drug problem that we call a homeless problem.
