@qriator@SarahIronside6@iamAtheistGirl Tariffs raise prices not taxes. Also I really hope I don’t end up being right but DOGE eliminating USAID will lead to tb outbreaks that will cost far more to be contained than USAID ever cost to run. And that’s just the first agency they want to close. It’s sickening.
@KobeeeeGoat@SwipaCam I think this illustrates our first divide quite clearly. For this reasons I think we are not taking climate change nearly seriously enough.
@KobeeeeGoat@SwipaCam At that point it may not matter how much carbon you cut down upon and the situation is completely out of our control. By that point we will have needed to find a way to reliably take carbon out of the environment and store it.
@rowanfornow Jon Stewart is an ideal pick because he’s funny and likable and doesn’t get cast into the smug category. If Larry David was younger that one might help a lot too.
@KobeeeeGoat@SwipaCam Feel free to respond wherever and I guess I’d like to know how you feel about climate change and the conservative approach to this issue.
@KobeeeeGoat@SwipaCam There aren’t zero republicans on this issue but at time it’s close to zero. Trump installed climate skeptics to head the EPA last time and it frustrates me that conservatives aren’t more frustrated about that. Climate change isn’t going to be selective. It will affect all of us.
@JMurrayWrld I sort of agree with this. I’ve not felt despair over a sporting event since Super Bowl 48. After that no sports loss could hurt that bad again. Then the real world showed me that sports are for fun and escape.
