My heart is overflowing with pride for our Two-Way Dual Language (TWDL) students here in Aldine ISD!
Seeing our students earn their Biliteracy pins and secure Spanish LOTE high school credits is a powerful reminder of what is possible when we dream big for our children. I am especially moved to share that we have increased the number of high school graduates earning a Performance Acknowledgment (Seal of Biliteracy) Honor Cord to 518 students! Reflecting on this journey, I am so deeply thankful that we launched TWDL in 2019. It all started with a parent meeting and a shared vision for our students' futures. Seeing that vision blossom into this level of success is one of my greatest joys as Superintendent. #AldineStory
John Mateer mentioned that #Sooners freshman OL Ryan Fodje, who’s drawn starts at tackle and guard this year, has also taken some practice reps at center — and hasn’t looked half bad.
“He’s so good at football.”
First and foremost, I’d like to thank the staff at HCU for giving me a home and providing me with a family for the last two seasons. With that being said, after much thought and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility.
Thanks to all the families who joined us for Coffee w/ the Principal this morning! It was so wonderful to see so many of you there. Building strong partnerships with families is important to us, and we loved getting to connect with you. We can't wait to see you again!
