This mint early production Model 1900 DWM Swiss Contract Luger is one of only 2,000 made, featuring the rare unrelieved frame, wide checkered safety lever, and narrow trigger.
As DWM’s first commercial contract pistol for Switzerland, it stands out with a silver nameplate engraved “Ulrich Wille” on the right grip.
While we can’t confirm it was actually presented to Wille, the quality and context point to a special provenance.
Wille, Swiss Army commander-in-chief from 1914, was known for strict discipline, modernization, and maintaining neutrality during WWI, though his pro-German stance sparked controversy at home.

This factory-engraved Sauer was brought back from Germany by Henry Michael O’Shea, a B-17 bomber pilot with the Army Air Corps during WWII. Serving with the 8th Air Force, Henry flew missions out of England and was even acquainted with fellow pilot Jimmy Stewart.
A Philadelphia native, Henry was a member of the Caterpillar Club, an honor given to airmen who survived a bailout using a silk parachute. This remarkable Sauer reflects both his service and the unique stories behind these historic pieces.

We love sharing WWII history, and today we’re joined by Joe Sacchetti from Highroads Traveler, a former paratrooper. We asked him about the Caterpillar Club, and learned something fascinating: the parachutes used by paratroopers were made from silk produced by silkworms.
The company manufacturing the chutes relied on this strong, lightweight material, giving countless men a chance at survival when jumping from planes. The Caterpillar Club honors those whose lives were saved by these silk parachutes, a unique legacy of both nature and ingenuity in wartime.

This rare G-Series FAL, produced by FN between 1959 and 1963, is highly sought after for its rarity. The ATF classified these rifles as too easily convertible to full-auto, resulting in a halt on further imports.
However, rifles with serial numbers on the ATF’s amnesty list are legal to own and sell as standard semi-automatic firearms. Their age also qualifies them as Curio & Relic (C&R) firearms, and they are officially listed as such.

We now know this Sauer was issued to Gustav-Adolf von Zangen, identified by the GVZ initials. Von Zangen was a German general who survived the war and carried this pistol throughout his military career.
He began his service on the Eastern Front in WWI and later served as the defense commander in the Netherlands. As a senior commander, he surrendered in April 1945. In 1944, he was awarded the Oak Leaf Cluster in recognition of his leadership during Germany’s retreat.

On June 6th, we remember D-Day and the bravery of those who took part in the Allied landings. Did you know that about a month earlier, the Allies conducted a large-scale rehearsal called Exercise Tiger?
Unfortunately, the practice landings and live-fire drills went terribly wrong, resulting in the deaths of around 700 servicemen.
Despite this tragedy, the D-Day invasion moved forward. Originally scheduled for June 5th, it was delayed by a day due to poor weather and launched on June 6th instead. This history reminds us of the immense challenges and sacrifices behind one of WWII’s most pivotal moments.

This is a rare and possibly historic 1938 Colt Match Target Woodsman, first-year production, shipped to the Chief of the Philippines Army via Squires, Bingham Company in Manila. It’s the desirable early “bullseye” variant, complete with original elephant ear grips.
The pistol is in near-mint condition, retaining about 99% of its original bluing, with only a few minor oxidation spots. It also includes a Colt archive letter and an elegant Colt presentation case.

This is the first of three segments on these exceptionally rare, factory-engraved Sauers. Both pistols display masterful engraving, and we’re about 90% certain of their original recipient, a notable figure from 1945.
Featuring ivory grips and intricate detailing, this example appears barely used and likely came straight from the factory, though it lacks proof marks. Intended as a presentation piece, this piece showcases outstanding craftsmanship.
Upon comparison, it’s clear that both were engraved by the same artisan. While originally finished with a gold wash, much of it has worn off over time from handling.

This very rare G.41(M) semi-automatic rifle, produced by Mauser in 1942, was developed as part of the German military’s search for a new semi-automatic service rifle during WWII. The military’s strict requirements included K98k-like ergonomics, no external moving parts, bolt-action capability, and a gas system that didn’t require barrel holes.
While Mauser’s design met all these demands, Walther’s satisfied only some. In the end, the Walther design was chosen for mass adoption as the G.41, but Mauser still received an order for 15,000 rifles. These Mauser rifles were issued to front-line troops, but few survived the war.

This original Bren Ten is an iconic 10mm pistol, best known for its role in the 1980s TV show Miami Vice. Originally developed as the “Combat Service Pistol 80,” it was conceived as a .45-caliber alternative to the classic 1911A1 before becoming the first handgun purpose-built for the 10mm cartridge.
The Bren Ten’s forward-thinking design inspired later models like the Colt Delta Elite and S&W 1006, and even caught the FBI's attention after the 1986 Miami Shootout. Although its production run was brief, the Bren Ten made a lasting mark on the world of sporting and defensive handguns.

Have you ever come across a Walther PP with markings like these? These are factory guard guns, highly unusual models, with only about 100 ever produced, and some even left the factory without any markings. The markings on this particular pistol identify it as belonging to the Swedish Waterworks.
Although Sweden was neutral during the war, armed guards were needed to protect crucial power plants and maintain security. Their role included preventing escapes by forced laborers and keeping sensitive operations under tight control.
