“Fine. I’ve been...gone recently. I just got back into town. It’s just weird to see everyone again.”

@Vaecordiae The smile stayed for a moment before it faded. She could see the satisfaction in his eyes and just shook her head.

“That’s good to hear. Lucky I know how to make you happy.”

@Vaecordiae A mental sigh went through her mind as she forced a smile. The only way to make him happy was to play his game.

“There. I’m smiling see?”
