@artificialmoggy@alexgsmith @oliver_twiste Pretty sure it’s cheaper to outsource coding to companies than to hire in entire teams or hope all your lawyers learn to code. However - lawyers knowing what’s possible because they understand basics of coding does mean they know what’s possible as where limitations are.
@alexgsmith @oliver_twiste @artificialmoggy We code on top. As do a few others but not many. Low/no code platforms should help lawyers focus on delivering content to solve end user problems wo worrying about UI/UX. If you want to build entirely bespoke then outsource it (if you don’t have proper tech dev teams already).
Is there anything worse than being stuck on a train w/0 power, middle of nowhere,no ETA on fix & doors are struggling to open trapping us in carriages. This might be it. The end. All that stands in the way of anarchy is a tea trolly and a dwindling supply of tea. #sendhelp#lner
Just a massive thank you to the guys at RSG (especially Reena SenGupta and @YasminRSG) and the FT - it’s a huge honour to be named as one of the top 10 legal technologists in business globally and testament to the work we’ve done at KPMG. Also a huge cong…https://t.co/pyQMgQOjGy
@rae_d_m @inspiredcat@alexgsmith IMO it’s because there’s been a lack of translation of technology capability into what lawyers do as bau (and a distrust from lawyers on tech/consultants). I don’t think you need to be a lawyer to be in [legal]tech but you do need to know how to translate to get adoption.
Fragmentation is the real issue in the legal tech industry. Providers need to look at how to platform their solutions to bring data together and drive greater value through aggregation. #ftlive#Ftintelligentbusiness#legaltech
@alexgsmith that’s right. There’s a gap at the moment in knowing what is possible because of bubble and hype damaging good stuff and distracting. also almost no incentive bar marketing to adopting a lot of this tech in law firms.Margin is too high. Corporate legal will need to disrupt.
@alexgsmith Using stripe. Or when Uber is using google maps api to display its stuff on a map for you to track a driver etc. TR is going to try and achieve it but there needs to be an open approach on platform plays. I might want to plug-in data from a competitor product.
