Congratulations @DebSummerhayes on your successful appointment as Deputy Secretary. Your passion for Public Education, your advocacy for our staff, students and community has never waivered and your heart for equity and excellence inspire me to action everyday!
And just like that... Penrith Valley Performing Arts Festival is over for another year! I'm still reeling from the incredible talent of our @NSWEducation students. I'm certain I witnessed more than one rising star! Thank you to @_The_Joan staff - absolute legends! #ProudlyPublic
Publicly educated former students of #NOIINSW schools - Caitlin and Chloe Keenan-Dunn are #proud to be public - sharing with us how their voices were heard, how they were valued as individuals and how their independence and growth as life-long learners was nurtured.

@DebSummerhayes joins us at #NOIINSW#symposium2023 to share what makes her #proud to be public - the spirit of collaboration, being agents of change, being curious about best practice, and brave enough to talk honestly about what’s not working. Proud of the difference we make.
“We are the Lyrebirds!” Principal @JacquelineLoc10 from Yandel’ora SSP. Each of our children need their own voice. Our job is to listen and to support them in being heard and to amplify their voices.
Truth before reconciliation - we need the diverse voices of our nation to be heard. No one should be silenced by vitriol and racism. https://t.co/bBbbhFH0FQ
We had the privilege of hosting @DebSummerhayes R/Dep Sec at Glenmore Park PS yesterday. Our stage 3 students shared their learning with Deb, & in true teacher style, she used her highly developed questioning technique to dig deeper and challenge their understanding. Thanks, Deb!
I’m looking forward to talking about maths and engagement at the next Science at the Local event. Hope to see sone of my local community there!

Little hands making clever things. Little minds problem solving together and learning from one another. I am not needed here - time for a coffee! #holidays#LEGOSpike
The #interactive#Gambay map from @FirstLangAU showcases 700+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages. It has accompanying videos and teacher notes, and it's a fantastic way to help kids develop an understanding of the land they live on: https://t.co/godc5giH4Z
