A salaried employee who didn’t get a cost of living raise in the middle class gets hurt the most in this scenario. They’re dealing with price hikes and no salary increase to help offset the loss; they loose money. Same is true for an hourly wage employee making more than min wage

Over regulation of markets leads to price increases, price increases leads to less people spending and cutting back. As a response; stores raise prices again to make up for the loss in revenue. Want to help the economy? You have to stop over regulation. #economy #jeromepowell

Raising salaries does the same thing as a reduction in sales: businesses raise prices to cover the increase of salary ranges. So while the hourly employee is making more money, they are also spending the same percentage (or more) because of the price increases.
