AJ Styles said that the entire match was called in the ring by John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel.
“Our last match, we didn’t have anything called in the beginning. Nothing was called. He just said, ‘I’ll call it.’ I go, ‘Okay’ and I trusted him so much that I wasn’t worried about it. Let’s just go out there and call it, bro, I’m listening to you. That was it. There was a couple of matches that were very like that. He would take control of it and he would call the match. He’s different, man.”

The “power of the pause” can be mighty. Our tendency is to want to react. It rarely hurts to take a second and assess the landscape and our emotions before action.
I’ve often said you can’t live up to your full potential in this business without being hated by some. AJ lived up to his full potential and is absolutely loved by everyone. AJ’s unselfish, undying passion for this business extends past his in-ring ability. He’s a locker room leader and the standard for what you look for in a Superstar. Thank you, AJ…and welcome to the @WWE Hall of Fame! @AJStylesOrg
John Cena reveals an Easter egg from his WWE retirement match which "nobody caught":
"There are so many Easter eggs that people don't know about. Even for the match against GUNTHER, I tried to grow my hair out like the Prototype from UPW and OVW.
"I couldn't dye it because I was working in between stuff, but I could fade it and grow it long so I could have that comb back.
"Nobody caught that, but nobody was supposed to. I was just doing it like, 'If you get it, you get it.'"

Oba Femi reveals the biggest advice he received from John Cena:
“He's very big on 'look at me' moments. I don't know if you've heard the story with he and Cesaro, where he told Cesaro to go and get the ball that was being thrown around in the audience and pop the ball.
“But he's very big on crowd interaction and 'look at me' moments. He told me that he understands that NXT is a very fast-paced style of wrestling, because that's what Shawn wants, but at the same time, he encouraged me to, when the opponent is down, I should always take my time to interact with the crowd and do something that will be memorable to them so they can always remember me. That's one of the things that John said to me that stuck, that was a pretty big one. Amongst many other things, but that was the big takeaway.”

Seth Rollins credits AJ Styles for who he is today.
“I would not be who I am today without AJ Styles. 100%. Because AJ Styles pioneered the style that I use today. He's one of the guys when I was 14, 15, 16 years old that I looked to and I said, ‘Wow. I may not be able to be Hulk Hogan. I may not be Andre the Giant, The Ultimate Warrior, any of these guys. I can be Shawn Michaels. I can be AJ Styles. I can be Jeff Hardy.' AJ was one of the first guys that I saw that could just do it all. He could do everything. He could brawl. He could fight. He could high fly. He could be a technical wizard. He was incredible.“
