@Rahll@Variety Realistically, they'll embrace the worldwide theatrical distribution business just like they're embracing streaming all this time.
It's their business. They're not just gonna abandon ship just bc 1 or 2 movies flopped. All studios have to deal with flops.
@Rahll@Variety I don't want any merger as well. I'm just saying that if Netflix buys WB, they'll seriously commit into the business of worldwide theatrical distribution exactly what they're saying.
Mostly bc it's the next logical step in growing their business beyond streaming.
🚨|PARAISO PERDIDO!!
Kira Snyder e Janet Lin LISTADAS como as roteiristas OFICIAIS DE PARAÍSO PERDIDO!! Elas são conhecidas por terem feito The Handmaid's Tale e Bridgerton.
Aparentemente a série será original HBO!!!!

@Rahll@Variety Netflix don't have the established worldwide theatrical distribution and marketing machinery that WB have.
Getting WB including all their assets, IPs and everything else is more feasible.
@Rahll@Variety Why not? They will spend close to 100 billion to get WB., including all the debts just to waste it all on streaming?
Their pitch is more believable to me than y'all bum haters. 💀🤣
@Rahll@Variety Yes.
Dan Lin was talking about that with Netflix.
Ted Sarandos was talking about honoring theatrical releases with WB.
They already said they'll operate separately with WB retaining their own people.
WB will continue to be WB.
Netflix will continue be Netflix.
Some people are dumb and bum about this.
Dan Lin said that about Netfilx.
Ted Sarandos said that about WB.
Ted Sarandos never said they'll merge WB and Netflix together.
They will operate separately, therefore WB will still release films in theaters with a 45 day window.
This is a slap in the face to the statements Sarandos had put out there during their pursuit for WB. It makes Netflix look even more disingenuous than people had already suspected they were during that time.
Not sure if it's good business logic to willfully cut yourself off from a section of directing talent simply because they want to honor theaters and movies being released in them.
