For those that knew my mother, she was one of Jacob’s biggest fans. She passed from cancer in 2015 but I know she was looking over him and even sat with him at his bedside to administer care…❤️. Thank you to everyone who has supported him along the way with prayers and kindness
The words no parent ever wants to hear…. Worse yet, the type of cancer had less than a 50% survival rate. After multiple surgeries, chemo and rehab to re-learn to walk, Jacob is 2 years out from his last chemo treatment with nothing but positive results.
2 years is significant because the chance of reoccurrence is less than 10% (per his oncologist). So much to be thankful for but most importantly for his entire medical team from Duke University to Nebraska Medicine, Methodist, CHI, Madonna and Neb Cancer Specialists. Thank you!
Anyone who says that sports are just a game has never been a part of a team with great coaches leading them. It’s more than W/L’s and that was made clear for one special player who had his career cut short. Thank you Coach Bryant & MHU. Thank you Alex for being by his side.
Jacob went to MHU to see his senior brothers off. He had no idea that he was also going to honored. This group of coaches and players are special and have been there to support him the whole way. No one better than Alex to walk him out onto the field.
