Johannesburg Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Advocate Andrew Chauke, was back at work today after he was on suspension for more than 12 months following accusations that were levelled against him by former @NPA_Prosecutes boss, Advocate Shamila Batohi.
Chauke was cleared by #NkabindeInquiry which concluded that he was fit and proper.
President Cyril Ramaphosa sent Chauke a letter this week informing him that he was cleared.
“Having carefully considered the report of the panel and its findings in respect of all allegations contained in the Terms of Reference, I am satisfied that the allegations against you have not been substantiated by the evidence presented before the enquiry.” The president wrote.
