রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক ছাত্র আব্দুল্লাহ আল মাসুদ। জামাত শিবির তার এক পা কেটে নিয়েছে ২০১৪ সালে। তখন বাকি হাত-পা’গুলোর রগও কেটে দিয়েছিলো। দশ বছর ধরে পঙ্গু জীবন যাপন করছিলো। গত ৩ সেপ্টেম্বর একটি ফুটফুটে কন্যা সন্তানের বাবা হয়েছিল।

মেয়ের জন্য ওষুধ আনতে রাজশাহীতে বাড়ির পাশে ফার্মেসিতে গিয়েছিলো। আর সেখানেই তাকে নির্মম ভাবে হত্যা করেছে জামাত শিবিরের সন্ত্রাসীরা। মৃত্যুর সময় এক ফোটা পানি চেয়েছিলো, তাও দেয়নি। কাকুতি মিনতি করে বলেছিলো “আমার চারদিনের একটি সন্তান আছে।”

কিছুই তাদের মন গলাতে পারেনি। কারণ মাসুদ এক সময় ছাত্রলীগের রাজনীতি করতো। জানা গেছে, শিবির ক্যাডার ও রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমন্বয়ক সালাউদ্দিন আম্মার এই হত্যার নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে। আমি মাসুদের আত্মার মাগফেরাত কামনা করছি, এবং অবিলম্বে ঘাতকদের গ্রেফতার ও দৃষ্টান্তূমলক শাস্তি দাবী করছি।

The movement of the students was infiltrated by miscreants. This is evident from the fire attacks on private and public properties across the country.
High-ups in law enforcement agencies believe that such violence cannot be perpetrated by students.

The miscreants have taken shelter in adjoining districts of Dhaka. Five such arsonists were arrested from a Shibir-den by police in Keraniganj’s Hasnabad area.

As electioneering rolled out, festivity runs high in villages after villages with a total of 1896 candidates locked in a nerve-racking competitive battle in 300 constituencies. Participation from such a large number of contestants from so many parties clearly belied the much-peddled narrative on one sided polls.

Rejecting the call of #BNP - #Jamaat’s boycott, as many as 27 registered political parties are vying in the electoral race for the upcoming #election, a testimony to the inclusive nature of the election and runs in stark contrast to BNP’s narrative that election is one-sided.

Hired by a top #BNP leader, Mamum, a mid-aged rickshaw puller, alongside another boarded one Uttara bound bus from Mohakhali.

As the passenger bus, Prajapati Paribahan, reached near Asad-gate, the duo rose from their seats, brought out a bottle of patrol, poured the substance and set the bus on fire.

While passengers caught Mamun red handed, his accomplice managed to escape.

This revelation by media further proves BNP’s consistent denial on ongoing #arson attacks is an outright #hoax.
