Year 11 French students: today would have been your last French GCSE exam. Although you won't be sitting in the hall today, showing off your French expertise, we are still immensely proud of you for your hard work and effort over the past few years π
I know we all miss doing this to Mr Wainman with the Studio French books don't we! The Languages department also misses its wonderful students, but we are so impressed with the great work that you are completing from home. Well done!
If you're feeling a bit "agobiado" with your French or Spanish work then get in touch. Your language teacher is on the other end of an email, ready to support you π
Wishing all our students and their families good health and happiness during this challenging time. Stay safe, work hard and remember that we're still here to support you with your language learning.
Behold Miss Holland's contribution to the RAG week bake off tomorrow. It might not look much but it was a labour of love and will hopefully raise some pennies for charity tomorrow! Don't forget to bring some change!
A fantastic day yesterday in Lille with Y7, excellent behaviour from students that was even remarked on by a member of the public on the ferry. They were a credit to themselves and you as parents / carers. A big thank you from the trip staff! π
ETA still looks like 11.45. Could we please ask that those collecting park in the main school car park to keep access clear for the coach on Ringsfield Road. Merci beaucoup!
"Why are they driving on the wrong side?!" We've emerged in France, less than an hour to go before we hit Lille. "Not long now" has stopped working. Anyone for French I spy?!
Don't let this be you! Struggling with something in Spanish? Then get yourself to Spanish intervention every Wednesday 3.15-4.15 in F10. Can't make it? Email Miss Holland for the resources! [email protected]
GCSE Spanish intervention after school in F10 today. We will be working on using different past tenses. Can't make it? Email Miss Holland for the resources.
It was fantastic to see so many families visit SJLHS for our Open Evening. Looking forward to welcoming lots of Year 7s to the Language Department next September!
