Over the next 30 days, I'm writing 30 Atomic Essays as a part of @dickiebush's and @nicolascole77's Ship 30 for 30.

@metaLulie To clarify, I meant that I have been a software dev for 10+ years, and never used algebra since. But if you were doing proper computer (or any other type of ) science, then I suppose use of algebra would be like breathing to you. Just a part of your proofs.
@metaLulie I had to learn algebra for my CS degree. If I remember right, it was used to push various parts of an equation about until you had something you liked. In our case it was to prove the upper and lower bounds of an algorithms performance. Theory - useful-ish. Algebra itself - nope.
@StoryLuck @growthcurrency @grandson@kflay I get round (eventually). When I was 15 (and shorter and v. skinny) I was doing 7 min miles. Now I'm 25kg heavier. But I'd like to have given that 15 year old a 25kg rucksack and see how fast he could run!
@dadtothefuture If you're learning French or Spanish, then I can't recommend Kwiziq highly enough. It chops up the whole language into tiny chunks of grammar and quizzes you with fill-in-the-gap type exercises. The best bit is the Viz chart which slowly turns green for each chunk as you improve.
@metaLulie I would highly recommend Shakti's Natural Elements album, which I would describe as being upbeat and completely free of cynicism. I particularly like Face to Face, and Happiness is being together.
@mariabestwest I like kale and spinach base with either avocado, nectarine, and cashew nuts, or avocado, apple and walnuts. Both with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing (or basically a glug of each over the top).
@TheAnkurTyagi Many well organised open source projects will have a specific issue tag called something like "Good First Issue". You could filter the issues list using that to find something to tackle.

@maupanelo@joncalhoun Sounds like an ace course. It's so good when you end up building something interesting.
I've always wondered what the main benefits of Go are compared to something like NodeJS?
I was wasting hundreds of hours of writing and research time. "How to take smart notes" by SΓΆnke Ahrens showed me how to make the most of my hard work.

@vineetrajan23@NotionHQ@readwiseio@instapaper Sounds like a great process. It's maddening to think how much time I've wasted by not understanding the leaks in my system. By leaks, of course, I mean not having a system at all π
@jozzua That workflow image has given me a major case of imposter syndrome. Lol. My own process is very much a work in progress. I did have a big aha-moment yesterday, though.
