I don’t believe a release date was announced? This could have been a teaser for a future update.(Yes we all know they were trying for this Tidalglow.) Keep in mind Royale High didn’t just loose a co-worker, dev, and friend. They lost family. Keep that in mind RH Fam!

The main Tidalglow update did arrive! It definitely felt smaller this year, but the new fabrics, hair colors, makeup, and halo were considered the main seasonal update. We also experienced a huge loss on our dev team this year, which impacted things more than we could have anticipated. 💔

We don’t have an update to share on Jet Ski Class right now, and we completely understand that Tidalglow felt a little small this year. We’re sorry for that, friends, and appreciate your understanding. 💕

I wont lie, I myself have been becoming increasingly concerned about the progression of updates in Royale High. Unfortunately, without communication, the community will continuously be left in the dark. I just hope the dev team knows this and plan to improve on it. #royalehigh

[Lengthy post about the current state of Royale High, please take the time to read. 📝]

I need you guys to speak up and help ask for a new Campus 4 with more classes and more gameplay elements added to Royale High.

Seasonal sets, seasonal minigames, seasonal things in general are *not* going to save Royale High or make it better. Eveningfall last year was incredible, but that's null and void when we're in July.

Yes, we do have a wave 2 of summer update on the way. But how much of it will be permanent? A set? No matter how gorgeous it may be, will it make Royale High as a game *fun* again? Or will it just provide temporary motivation to grind in the repetitive system in place?

Playing the base game shouldn't only be enjoyable when there's something to grind for. I should be doing minigames for the fun of it, not just for the reward it offers.

So far we know there's a new set and the Jetski mini game. If the Jetski mini game is like the other seasonal minigames (Egg hunt flowering, snowball fight glitterfrost, etc.), then it won't have any actual impact on the long term viability of this game. I am by no means saying that these are not good implementations, or that I hate any of the seasonal minigames. But it just can't be the only gameplay updates we get.

Royale High players can't live for just Seasonal updates. We need permanent gameplay improvements. More classes so the day-to-day schedule isn't the exact same. More engaging mini games. A lot of these classes get the job done in terms of functionality, but suffers engagement wise.

Flight class gets the job done, but are you genuinely having fun flying into circles for 2 minutes straight with the same song in the background? Because I'm not. It's not a horrible class, it's just very boring to me. Honestly, the only classes that give me any amount of dopamine is Computer Class, English, and Potionology. Swimming class is comes close but is still kind of very boring. I've never *not* gotten an A. It's too easy.

Basketball class is basically just stand in spot, click and hold, wait for specific number to show, let go, wait for ball to roll back. And you do that about 20 times and get an A. Archery class is kind of just spam click on the targets, (with it having massive input delay, making it not very enjoyable,) flashcards are flashcards 😭(sorry, I hate memory games). The first half of swimming class I feel like lasts too long. I personally get pretty bored clicking space bar every 3 seconds for a ~~2 minutes. It's not that it's unenjoyable. I mean, I like that sometimes there's 4 rods to jump over, and I like the speed changes, but it's not enough to keep me entertained the whole time it lasts. As for the second part...jump a couple times, go through the circles, then go back. It's just not very fun at all to me. Maybe if it was an actual *race* that rewarded you based on what position you got would it be more fun. Nearly everyone gets As in that section.

There were so many classes that were teased in the mermaid campus that were just entirely abandoned.
(Which, I will always think hyping up your community and then not following through on any of the promises 9 times out of 10, is honestly kind of sleazy to me. Like...you gave your starved community hope so that they'd buy your toys and play again with no real intention of going through with your promises....)

Do I think Barbie and the Dev team are disciple people who just love to upset us? No, not at all.

But I do think the development team lives in the clouds 🥹. In a completely different world than the playerbase, focused on what they *feel* like adding rather than what the community desires. Royale High isn't just a small passion project. The game has earned millions in revenue, has official toy lines that bring in *millions* every year. You're players are giving you millions of dollars every year, so that you can *consider*, *maybe*, *possibly*, *one day*, *hopefully*, add something we've been asking for years.

This idea that us players --including players like me who have bought every toy, gamepass, and has given this game so much of my time, energy, and money-- this idea that the only way we can get through to the developers and ask for them to make the game enjoyable is to go viral on twitter asking for a change (but don't consider posting it unless you're super, duper, extra nice with a dozen sprinkles on top and the ENTIRE jar of cherries along with it.)

I have made countless threads begging for changes that we've been promised years ago. Begging for 8 year old bugs to be fixed. Going out of my way to make an entire thread recording, describing, and posting dozens of bugs in the game.
Begging for the game to become enjoyable again because this game has been my hype fixation ever since I was in middle school. I am now 20 years old, commenting on @RoyaleHighValks tweets, on my knees asking if there's any news on when the toys I bought in *2024*, 2+ years later, are going to get their promised rewards.

I know Valk team can only do so much. They *do* ask the team on our behalf, and I'm thankful for that. But that's a praise for the Valk team manager, *not* the developers who put that massive wall in place between us and them, with only Valks and Neo being allowed to enter that tiny gate of communication.
2 people who (in my non-factual, entirely speculation view,) don't really even play the game (at least regularly, without any bonuse,), and don't really understand the player experience.

No offense, but it's very wrong in my eyes to release purchasable goods with promised reward that give players incentive to buy them, and then keep us waiting for multiple years to actually get that reward.
(Also, no. I am not under the belief that the rewards are "a gift the devs are giving to be nice that you're not owed", because the promised rewards are buyers incentive. A large portion of players would not have spent money on the toys if not for the promise of in-game rewards.)

Imagine going to Mcdonalds. You pull up to the drive thru, and you're thinking about getting a Cheeseburger for 2.99. But before you order, you see they have the Kids Meal for 6.99 that offers a toy that comes along in it. If I purchased the Kids Meal and was given the Burger, Fries, and Chocolate Milk, the workers can't then tell me "Well, we'll give you the toy at some random date that could possibly be years from now. Have a great day! *shuts window".

I don't think it's crazy to say there'd be a big outrage at that Mcdonalds! And no, slapping a "coming soon!" does not justify it. Especially since this classifies as deceptive advertising and goes against consumer protection laws in BOTH Mcdonalds and Royale High's case.

I'm sorry for the massive threads recently. It's just that I've had a really tough childhood, and Royale High was my escape of it all. Seeing the state that it's in right now is heart breaking to both me and my childhood self's heart. This thread is a last ditch effort, a final cry out loud in hopes that other people will assist in trying to get the developers to do the necessary changes this game needs to stay magical.

In the thread below that I'm quote tweeting, I bring up some more concerns if anyone is curious.
