I find it very telling that the Institute for Family Studies always uses the tag "Infidelity" for pieces about nonmonogamy. Not the most objective or thoughtful starting point for analysis.
Of note, on Polyamory and Consensual Non-Monogamy. @KayHymowitz raises important points and thorny questions, esp about trickle down effects. Like others, I get asked about this phenomenon a lot. The buzz is real.
