We will come back and sleep here tomorrow night. Thanks for your kind worlds of encouragement. The team is in high spirits, and excited to be here. It’s HAPPENING! More updates to come. Len is honoring a @Hopecam child at each of the base camps. Follow @Hopecam for more info.
Len's #Denali Update. This is a series of tweets. We arrived from Talkeetna #Alaska to base camp last night about 5pm. We flew a single engine plane packed with backpacks, sleds & large duffel bags filled with tent, cooking supplies, climbing gear & 21 days of food for 8 people.
We set up our tents at camp one and after a nice nap in the 80 degree heat inside our tents we are now having dinner.Tomorrow we will leave at 600 am and climb to camp two (9000 feet) with the gear we won’t need for a few days like food, heavy clothes and gas fuel for the stoves.
