'Scarlet Heart Thailand' seriesမှာ မြန်မာနဲ့ တရုတ်တို့ရဲ့ ယဥ်ကျေးမှုတွေကို creditမပေးဘဲ inspire ဆိုပြီး သုံးစွဲထားမှုအပေါ် မြန်မာလူမျိုးတစ်ယောက်အနေနဲ့ အင်မတန်မှကို ဝမ်းနည်းမိပေမဲ့ တစ်ဖက်မှာလဲ ချစ်ခင်ရတဲ့ ခွန်ထိုင်းတို့အတွက် စိတ်မကောင်းလဲ ဖြစ်မိပါတယ်။

ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံဟာ သူတို့ရဲ့ လှပတဲ့ ရိုးရာယဥ်ကျေးမှု၊ ကိုယ်ပိုင်လက္ခဏာ၊ ကိုယ်ပိုင်ဟန်တွေနဲ့ ဂုဏ်ကျက်သရေမြင့်မားတဲ့ ကျွန်မတို့ရဲ့ အိမ်နီးချင်းနိုင်ငံ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့ GMMTVက ဒီseriesကို ရိုက်ကူးရာမှာ ဒီလောက် တင့်တယ်လှပတဲ့ မိမိတို့ရဲ့ ထိုင်းရိုးရာအမွေအနှစ်တွေကို ဂုဏ်ယူဝံ့ကြွားစွာ ဖော်ပြတင်ဆက်ရမည့်အစား တခြားနိုင်ငံများရဲ့ ရိုးရာယဥ်ကျေးမှုတွေကို ဖန်တီးပေါင်းစပ်ပြီး အသစ်တစ်ခုအနေနဲ့ တင်ဆက်ပြသဖို့ကိုသာ ရွေးချယ်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီအတွက်လဲ မလိုလားအပ်တဲ့ အငြင်းပွားမှုတွေ ဆက်လက်ဖြစ်ပေါ်နေရဆဲပါ။ ကျွန်မအနေနဲ့ ထိုင်းလူမျိုးတို့ရဲ့ အထင်အမြင်လွဲမှားမခံရလိုမှုနဲ့ စိတ်ရှုပ်ရမှုတို့ကို အပြည့်အဝ ကိုယ်ချင်းစာပြီး ကျွန်မတို့ဘက်က ရပ်တည်ပေးနေသော ထိုင်းလူမျိုးများ၏ စေတနာကိုလဲ ချစ်ခင်စွာဖြင့် လှိုက်လှိုက်လှဲလှဲပင် အသိအမှတ်ပြုအပ်ပါတယ်။

As a Myanmar citizen, I feel deeply saddened by how GMMTV used Myanmar and Chinese cultural elements in the Scarlet Heart Thailand series under the guise of 'inspiration' without giving proper credit. At the same time, I also feel bad for our beloved Thai friends who are caught in the middle.
​Thailand is a neighboring country with a high reputation, beautiful traditional culture, unique identity, and distinct heritage. However, instead of proudly showcasing their own magnificent Thai traditional heritage in this series, GMMTV chose to blend and present elements from other countries' traditions to create something new. Because of this, unnecessary controversies continue to arise. I fully sympathize with the Thai people for wanting to avoid misunderstandings and the stress it causes, and I warmly and affectionately appreciate the good intentions of the Thai individuals who have stood by our side.

Honestly, what I finally realized is that even though our Myanmar usually stays trending, we end up getting ignored or looked down on because we are not a big 'goldmine' (money source) for them like others are. I am truly feeling really bad that things turned out this way. I also sincerely apologize to Uncle Tha for this. 🥺
However, just because of that, please don't disrespect Myanmar's traditional culture like this. If you use the culture of a country that ignored and mocked you, it won't be convenient for you all either. Therefore, please respect and acknowledge Myanmar culture."@GMMTV🥺🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏

The use of a fictional setting does not change the origins of real cultural elements incorporated into a series, nor does it eliminate the responsibility to acknowledge them. Acknowledging Myanmar culture as an inspiration is a positive step, but meaningful recognition must go beyond general statements. We urge @GMMTV to provide clear cultural explanations and appropriate on-screen credits that accurately identify the origins of these elements. This is not about restricting artistic expression or opposing cultural exchange; it is about ensuring that cultural exchange is built on honesty, respect, and accountability. As stated in the joint statement we released this morning, all of us share the same position. At this point, we are waiting for the series to air, hoping that proper on-screen credits will be provided to acknowledge Myanmar's cultural heritage.

From the beginning, our goal has been to seek a clear explanation from GMMTV regarding the use of Myanmar cultural elements and to request proper on-screen credits for our cultural heritage. Our position remains unchanged.

This is not the stance of TayTawan Myanmar alone, but a shared position agreed upon by the Myanmar fanbases of artists involved in the series, as well as fanbases of other artists. So, we would like to clarify that those leaving comments under GMMTV's posts or other artists' posts about matters unrelated to the series or insults do not belong to our fan communities.

They do not represent our Myanmar fan communities and are acting on their own behalf. We kindly ask everyone to keep this in mind should you come across such comments, as these actions are not associated with us.🙏
