15 things about life&business I learned from Naval Ravikant that will change your perspective:
1. Everyone feels motivated to do something, and the question is, what is that something for you?
2. Try to be the best in the world at what you do. Keep redefining your work until it becomes true.
3. Every human being strives to acquire in-depth knowledge in a certain field in order to later profit financially from possessing this unique knowledge alone.
4. Follow what genuinely stimulates your intellectual curiosity, not what's top of mind at any given time.
5. The biggest challenge is not achieving what you want but figuring out what it is.
6. There are three business leverage types: capital, labor and software.
7. There are two fundamental games in life in which we participate:
→ The game of money
→ The status game - the status game is a zero-sum game.
8. Every belief you took over in a package during the formation of your identity should be treated with suspicion and reevaluated ( e.g., I am a social democrat, a Catholic, etc.).
9. Feeling happy is not a matter of choice or something you inherit in your genes - instead, it is a skill that can be trained
10. Desire is a contract you make with yourself in which you commit to being unhappy until you get what you want.
11. The real courage is not caring about what others think.
12. Before you can lie to another person, you must first lie to yourself.
13. If you can't decide, the answer is no.
14. One day, you will die, and everything that has any meaning with you will also no longer matter. So have fun with it.
15. In order to make any particular over-the-top contribution to the world, you have to be obsessed with a particular point which borders on insanity.
☀️ If anyone has read this book I am curious about your thoughts!
When you try to level up in life there is a moment when you don’t suit to your old friends.
But you don’t suite yet to people who you want to associate with.
Resist this moment of loneliness. It will pay off.
@tiupikov Hahaha I have the same! Figure out some way of ,,rest/ fresh start’’ during the day. For me for example works that I go to the gym and I treat my day as it just started after.
How I figured out what to do meantime in my 8 years goal that was to become karate world champion?
1. Make a goal - keep on cutting it untill you arrive to daily actions.
2. Focus just on daily actions - make each day 100%.
3. Accept that it’s not easy but never think about more than just one day/one week.
4. Fall in love with routine.
5. Find some small rewards - for me it was hearing from my coach that I did a good job.
@sullycopywriter No, but being awake early and doing some work before world is awake gives me power and also if you are awake at 5 you know you need to do something productive. Let’s be honest who wakes up at 5 pm to scroll instagram ? 😅
