Also RIP Terror. The problem is the season felt slow and predictable, then suddenly wrapped everything up very quickly. Good moments and decent emotional payoff, but not quite the sharp ending I hoped for. 7/10

26/05/26: The Boys S5 E8, Blood and Bone
As a finale, I think there was a lot missed. Bringing in the Gen V cast and then barely using them felt like a waste, especially after making it seem like they could really matter. And what the hell is now happening with Solider Boy?
I think Homelander and Butcher both got a strong ending, I think we all knew kind of how it was going to happen. Seeing Homelander stripped of everything and Butcher left empty after revenge felt right for both characters, even if the route there was a bit messy.
Frenchie’s death should have hit harder. I wanted more around how it happened and what it meant for Kimiko, instead of it feeling slightly rushed. Still decent, but uneven this close to the end. 6/10

26/05/26: The Boys S5 E7
The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk
This didn’t feel like a penultimate episode. It felt more like the one before it, setting pieces up rather than really pushing into the finale.
Homelander could have had a much bigger part, especially after everything with the V1. Instead, we get a lot of inspirational speeches and reminders about characters we already understand.
The Mabashi and Ritz stuff is better than some of this arc has been, even if the mind-controlled Rukia plot is nothing new. Hopefully Rukia vs Orihime gives the next episode something decent to work with.
It’s a 5/10 for me.

Bleach S4 E21, Dissension in the Substitute Team? Rukia’s Betrayal
Having Kira in this episode is definitely a plus. Wabisuke’s ability is actually really interesting, and it was nice seeing someone from Soul Society properly handle a Bount for once.
Kira turning up at the end was a genuine surprise, and hopefully that means things can finally start to pick up. The Bount arc still feels like a slog, but I’ll take anything that brings Soul Society back into it.

21/05/26 - Bleach S4 E20, Gray Shadow, the Secret of the Dolls
This really is filler within filler now. The Doll lore is interesting enough, and seeing what happens when a Bount can’t control one adds a bit more weight, but it’s still not fully grabbing me.
@wonderinganime A solid 8.5/10 for me. Some days I may even give it a 9. Really enjoyed watching this a while back. It starts off a really nice show but gets darker the more you go on.
Finding out Ren killed Anaak’s mother makes me want both of them to get revenge. The director feels very sinister, and I’m not feeling great about Rachel either. I don’t know why, but something feels off. Great episode. 8/10

Tower of God S1 E11, Underwater Hunt (Part One)
Endorsi and Anaak have really come along in this episode. Their rivalry is becoming one of the best parts of the show, especially now Ren is involved.
Tiny Rak was brilliant, and Bam deciding he’ll climb for Rachel makes sense for him. The Irregular reveal feels important too, even if I still don’t fully get why. Yu Han Sung is being very shifty, I feel a lot may come of this. 8/10

Tower of God S1 E10, Beyond the Sadness
This felt like a needed episode after everything with the Tag test. Less action, but it gave everyone a moment to breathe, especially with Hoh’s funeral and Rachel’s injury.
Bam using a Ranker’s technique like it was nothing was wild, and Hoh fully showing himself as a traitor added some proper drama. I still don’t fully get the rules, but I’m definitely enjoying the chaos.

Tower of God S1 E9, The One-Horned Ogre
Wow, turns out people really aren’t who they say they are. Rachel finally coming clean with Bam was a big moment, but it feels like it might be too late now.
