DEFENDING SARA

'Fairweather friends' are a dime a dozen in sunny days. But true & loyal friends can only be found in your darkest times.

Being friends or allies with VP & DepED Secretary Sara Duterte is no longer 'profitable'. She has been under fire from all angles. She is being targeted by the most powerful group of people today. Not because of something she did, but because of who she might become.

Sara Duterte was supposed to be our sitting president. The Filipino people were ready to put her in Malacañang in 2022 as gratitude for her father's service and sacrifices to the country.

She had many 'suitors' who begged her to be her running mate. Among them, Gibo, Win Gatchallian, BBM, & many others. But Sara felt she was not ready to become president. She wanted to earn the people's trust first on her own.

She chose to become BBM's running mate instead. In return, he promised Sara and the people that he would continue her father's legacy and governance.

Fast forward today. Gone is the promise of continuity. Sara is now being systematically destroyed from inside out. All her supporters, friends, allies, and family are targeted as well. It seems all the resources of the government are being used to destroy her.

Call it fate or destiny, but Sara was given more than what she intended after refusing the presidency and endorsing someone on her behalf. And despite all of her hard work, she is being dragged, pushed, maligned, demonized, & destroyed.

A betrayal.

Sara Duterte is now in a boxing ring with the most greedy, vicious, and power-hungry vultures in the country. They want her out of the presidential fight in 2028.

Sara is not only an underdog, she is also a pauper since she is without rich and powerful allies. All she has are a few brave, outspoken people and the silent 32 million voters who believed in her and her father's legacy.

Protecting and defending Sara Duterte is now considered a dangerous act. It can cost one's career, business, or political future. Many Sara diehards are now being persecuted & falling one by one. Merely by being aligned with Sara's political views is equally as dangerous.

But as long as Sara perseveres until 2028, her chances for the presidency she once refused remain high. Because the more her enemies try to destroy her, the more her strength & the legacy of her father shines.

Maybe BBM was meant to be a hurdle in Sara's path. So she can fathom the true dangers of snakes, traps, and pit falls scattered along her way as she serves her country.

If Sara is to become a great leader one day, now is her time to look for true friends and allies. People who will stick with her and stay by her side through dangerous times.

People she can trust.

Sara must list down the names of her true allies & friends. The people who laid out their necks for her. People who share her vision, aspiration, and love for our country. People who will help her realize her goals without any ulterior motive. People who served as a light to guide her way.

So when the time comes for Sara to shine her brightest, those people who left her in the dark will remain in the dark. Yet, for sure, the likes of BBM, who once kissed her feet for her endorsement, will again grovel at her feet. People with great self-respect don't beg for favors, only the greedy ones do.

As the saying goes: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
