67 of 34 sp last night, including this stunning Gold Spot - a new one for me. 2 NFY: Jersey Tiger and only my 2nd Yellow-barred Brindle, which refused to leave the pot for a better photo.
A quiet sea watch at Hengistbury this am livened up for a 15-min spell with a flypast Velvet Scoter and a Long-tailed Duck on the sea. @CHOG_birds @DorsetBirdClub
Only started mothing late June '23, so getting a few new early species recently. Only 2 moths in last night's trap: my first Oak Beauty and 2nd March Moth.
2 Leach's Petrels and 2 Little Gulls brightened up an otherwise fairly quiet sea watch off Hengistbury with DNS this morning. @CHOG_birds @DorsetBirdClub
Sadly Durdle Door didn’t make it through the weather last night. End of an era! Is it still even a door? It may need a new name…

Can't believe we've just seen 5 Alpine Swift over Riversmeet Meadow. Thanks to Ray & Tina for finding and @SStanpit & @Dairy_Cottage for updates.
