@RadLounge - you gents might like to check this out given that you carry a torch for Aussie comics and have shown an appreciation in the past for comics made for younger audiences.
I’ve been reading a lot of YA comics of late. This lovely example from @goodsniff_, incidentally, has both satisfied this current interest and succinctly described, within its pages, the motivations behind my reading impulse. Thoughts here: https://t.co/hGDJvFZftY
Hey I made a comic!
// Return to Houndstooth College //
It's a coming-of-age comic filled with young dreams and many dogs. I’m publishing it online every Monday and Friday until completion. And I hope you’ll enjoy it!

@jeremy_sorese I’m pretty sure I know which one of these is mine. I love where you took my too-simple cue. It’s much quieter than I was expecting and I adore how that makes its moment-in-time snapshot all the more tender. Thank you Jeremy.
@snubpollard @patchworkearth Ooh, that would be great! Us comics obsessives sequestered away on the other side of the globe would appreciate the opportunity for yet more of your musings on the enigma that is Ditko.
@factualopinion https://t.co/NnGlg8FCz4 — these guys brought up the Haneke comparison too but they rely on Lanthimos’ taboo-tweaking dark humour to justify the film as more than pastiche.
@RealAsianFriend Your tweet about a Piece of Work from a while ago brought it to my attention.I think you may also like this podcast https://t.co/T5An9q5vbT
@snubpollard There's something about the cadence of the one-two beats of lingual redundancy that feature in his prose style that I find oddly appealing.
@snubpollard ... I still see him struggling in that series against the demands of his audience and the commercial realities of the industry at the time.
@snubpollard This is wild speculation on my part, but I see something deliberately insipid in Kirby's use of a child who demands that X-51 be a superhero
@snubpollard But we fail to gain anything from our momentary feasts, best intentions turning to hatred as we burn our collective memory as it's formed.
