@TELUS I promptly asked his manager's name and company. To my surprise, his answer was: "Unfortunately, I can't tell you his name or the company that we work for. Call Telus and see what they can do for you". WHAT IS THIS? AM I HIRING TELUS OR A CLANDESTINE COMPANY?
@TELUS Finally, he said that he was going to call his manager and call me back. He called me back saying that his manager said it was clear NO from his end. The installation was not going to happen because they wouldn't assume these "issues/risks".

After over 10 minutes of arguing on the phone, he brought back the strata permission, saying that he could not proceed with the installation. I made it clear that my complex doesn't have any restrictions on cameras rather than filming other properties.
@TELUS So if it's an outdoor camera, it's more than obvious that the power outlet will be also outdoor. He also said that the power supply doesn't work outside and his company would not replace it because it's too expensive.
@TELUS He came again with the drilling need because the power supply can not be installed outside, just the camera. I said the website is clearly saying that the only requirement is a power outlet nearby.
@TELUS I said I had everything in place and a dedicated power outlet for both cameras (less than 30cm away from the camera). Today he called me again around 10 AM asking me if I had everything in place and I said yes.
@TELUS Yesterday I had a call from SHANE (3rd party company, no name) around 1 PM, asking if I had everything in place for the appointment today (strata permission, power requirements). He mentioned drilling needs because the outdoor camera should be powered.
@TELUS We are Telus customers for years (mobile, internet and TV) and we chose to add the home security service for our home (2 cameras, doorbell, smart thermostat, smart plug, etc). But I never thought of having this kind of service like we had, or not, today.
@TELUS After almost a month of waiting for my home security installation appointment scheduled for today, Jun 6 at 9 AM, I was surprised by a huge NO from the technician and his manager saying that my appointment could not happen because of technical issues on my end.
@TELUS After 1 month of waiting for my home security installation, I was surprised that you simply refused to get the job done. The technician and Manager refused to provide their company name and contact info. Disrespectful and amateur service.
