A clarification

When I posted my resignation, I intended that to be my only public statement.

Since then, I’ve seen comments assuming that, because I held the title of “co-founder,” my role was the same as the other co-founders.

I completely understand why people would make that assumption. If I were on the outside looking in, I probably would too.

I’d like to clarify what my role was.

I joined the project years after it began, shortly before its rebranding to Xenea, to serve as co-founder for its next chapter.

My role was focused on branding, long-term strategy, partnerships, and international representation.

The discontinuation of XENEA Wallet, for example, was announced on the same day as my resignation. I first became aware of it through that public announcement.

Until recently, I believed I had the information necessary to fulfill my role.

As I wrote in my resignation post: “More recently, I came to understand that I hadn’t had the full picture while serving in this role. After reflecting on that, I decided it was time to step away.”

I can’t speak on behalf of the project, and I don’t believe it would be appropriate to comment on matters beyond my own knowledge or responsibility.

My intention in writing this is simply to ensure that my role and experience are understood accurately.
