I always treat people who mistreat dogs & other animals with great suspicion.
If a dog or cat comes in with a suspicious injury, vets should be aware that the abusive behaviour may be extended to people in the home, & ask the police, or social services, to investigate. #Dogs

China & the USA scale up their coal output. 32 other countries do the same as all seek to meet the growing global demand for energy.
Ludicrously, the United Kingdom 🇬🇧, which has huge reserves of coal, now buy’s from China etc etc as it has shut down all coal production. #Coal

Loved listening to @YemiOsinbajoVP who put over his views in a thought provoking & hugely intelligent way.

For me, the key to global prosperity lays squarely at the feet of responsible free enterprise.

As I often say, when talking to young ( and not so young ) entrepreneurs, we must find a way to link the powerful stallions of free enterprise to the carriage of humanity, so that when all that massive horsepower snorts into life it takes the whole of society on an upward trajectory, so that the world benefits from the huge prosperity only enterprise and innovation can deliver. 🇳🇬🇺🇸🇬🇧

It seems a great shame that LW radio has ended completely.

Having a system which operates without the need for the internet, or any other mobile network and which can reach most of the UK and parts of Europe, is surely in Great Britain’s national interest.

A bit like retailers being able to take cash when the web is offline for whatever reason.

Ultimately this was a decision for the BBC as I understand it, but hopefully not one that will be a source of regret in the future!

Crazy. What message does this send out to criminals? How will this make victims feel?

There may well be a capacity issue which clearly needs to be resolved extremely urgently, but there must be a better solution in the meantime than letting serious criminals walk the streets much earlier than their original sentences allow.
