This behavior is a disgrace. Daniel Lurie has always stood with our LGBTQ+ and trans community and this public shaming at the Trans March is not activism, it’s self-sabotage. You don’t fight for rights by attacking your allies.

Levi’s, the company he’s connected to, has a decades-long history of supporting Pride, funding HIV research, and championing queer rights when it wasn’t trendy, when it was dangerous.

I’m gay. I’m married. I live in San Francisco. And I refuse to let a loud, bitter fringe define my community. Disagree politically if you want but don’t twist someone’s commitment to our cause into a reason to humiliate them. You do not speak for me. You do not speak for most of us.

Let me be clear: just because I don’t agree with your version of things doesn’t mean I support genocide. That’s ridiculous. I’ve said it before, I care about the innocent people suffering in Gaza. What I don’t believe is that Israel is doing this as some plan to kill everyone, like you say. That’s a serious claim, and things are way more complicated than that.

You chose to be angry and blame one side for everything. I chose to look at the full picture. If that bothers you, maybe the problem isn’t me, maybe you just don’t like hearing anything that challenges your view.
