@PeterMoskos C’mon Peter! What an abysmally impoverished definition of democracy. No democratic theorist (Dahl, Lipset, Plato, etc, etc) has ever restricted the definition of democracy to “voting.” Political participation (writ-large!) & freedom (including freedom of assembly) are fundamental
According to new census data, New York City’s population is on the rise for the first time post-pandemic.
Addressing our housing crisis has never been more urgent, and I’m proud of all that we have accomplished together.

“I should be driving that train!” thought Robert Hinson while visiting Pullen Park with his family. Well now he does! Robert drives the train, runs the carousel, and operates the kiddie boats. Thanks for the work you do, Robert! #ThisIsWhatIDoRAL | @RaleighParks
Big ups to @raleighparks for this amazing new addition to Crabtree Creek Greenway all the way to Umstead now. Being able to ride from downtown to Umstead and then back to downtown on different greenway is pretty awesome part of living here. Also, Go Dawgs!
So thankful for their support and belief in us! We can now move forward with Smoky Hollow Park, providing green space in one of the densest parts of our city — and clean up the most polluted sites in Raleigh.

Ben Bernanke worked at South of the Border?!?!
I’m sure @NathanTankus has written an extensive essay about this, but can’t believe I’m just learning about it!

Thinking back to when 'Bull Durham' writer & director Ron Shelton came to the DAP with his son, and reflected on returning to the place where the Greatest Movie of All-Time was filmed

The Oklahoma City council just voted 8 to 1 to remove a height restriction and rezone a section of brick town to accommodate a 1907ft tall building, which would make it the tallest in North America. Construction is going to start later this year. This is insane funny
