@dmsob1 Thanks! Not sure, unfortunately. We saw the smoke around the same time as one of our boarders. She called the fire dept and went down to check and see if anyone needed help. There has been a lot of speculation on the cause but no one was sure. I think they're still investigating.

@TamSpinner Yes we are safe, thanks! It seems to be clear on our side, it's on the other side of the mountain now. The planes and helicopters were hitting it hard with flame retardant yesterday and all day today. I can still hear them out there now

@slappsymax We are right on the other side of the line for evacuating we have been watching closely and our horses are good, those that evacuated hitched their trailers and took their horses with them!!

#EastDesertFire around noon today. Saved it from coming back down on this side again. I can only imagine what the other side looks like right now 😔 big thank you to all the firefighters, pilots, and other emergency workers working on this thing!
