If Twitter implodes, how will I share all the absurd things my toddler does? His level of understanding is too high for me to make fun of him where he can hear me...
What you have to remember is that our dolls are historically accurate, and in the 1980’s when we came up with Felicity, it was representative of the time period that no one gave a fuck her family owned Black people.
Figured it was worth a shot- although I recognize that social media only works if folks are there. Happy to jump ship to a new platform!

@cmgarton I feel for you. I think that time left some people thinking that a sick kid or a child care problem means that parents can just work from home, and no thank you!
One of the annoying things that has come out of this pandemic is the assumption that you can work from home and care for your kids simultaneously. Y'all. He's a toddler not a houseplant. Even if I was willing to sit him in front of the TV all day, Daniel Tiger can only do much.
@SaxtonCh I remember trying to get my prescription refilled in college while I was at my mom's in Kansas. I had to see like three people and have a "counseling" session first. I was so confused.
In case you were wondering whether unconditional love exists- today this creature, with intent and malice, pushed the toddlers applesauce off the table, leaving me with an apple splattered toddler, chairs, table, and floor. Yet I still adore him and allow him to live in my home.
@cmgarton When I was a sophomore my roommates hid the peanut butter from me because they thought it was so gross that I used it when cooking vegetables.
...I was making peanut sauce. It had just never occured to them what peanut sauce was made out of. 😂
It was my first experience with gun-violence protocols as a parent, and I hate that it probably won't be my last. No hot take here except for the fact that guns are terrible.
As basically everyone in Minnesota is aware, today a "shelter in place due to shooting suspect" alert inadvertently went out to the entire metro area... when this happened, I was at the zoo with my toddler. 🧵
We all have google. I knew within a few minutes that we were safe, and that the message had reached a much wider net then the police intended, but the parent/panic/emotion part of my brain was still was pretty shaky for a while afterwards.
