On Thursday, Lesnes residents took their petition to London Assembly Mayor's Question Time. Residents were represented by @ZoeGarbett and Sadiq Khan stated he would action the concerns of neglect and degeneration that residents had been subjected to live in. (continued in thread)

Zoë also pushed for more consideration on vital safeguards to be put in place to protect residents from displacement, ensuring that they have a guaranteed home to return to once regeneration projects are completed and to ensure communities are protected.

@RichardGRV101 @savecentralhill @michaellondonsf Parts of the estate have been purposefully run down by Peabody and other state actors, however demolition and displacement of a community isn't the answer. Retrofitting will refurbish the estate whilst allowing the original community to remain and keep their homes.

@Prita_o81 @savecentralhill These are people's homes, and they deserve to be saved. This regeneration does not have the original community at the heart of it - it sets to displace a majority, including pensioners with freehold status who will be forced out due to such little compensation for their homes.
